Crittenden County Rocket Foundation

As we all can agree, the face of education has changed a great deal over the years. One thing that has remained constant, however, is the heart of a Crittenden County graduate. As a Rocket graduate, you have shown impeccable work ethic, fortitude, and determination in setting and achieving your goals. Today, I know that you continue to display those same qualities as you better the community in which you reside. Our students need strong leaders and role models like yourselves to help them put their own goals and dreams into motion.

Our goal for the Crittenden County Rocket Foundation is to raise $150,000 by January 1, 2022. Funds raised will be used to help our students achieve, specifically in the following ways:

  • Cover dual credit tuition and textbook costs for juniors and seniors

  • Aid with work ready certifications through pre-apprenticeships and industry certifications in auto, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, health sciences, information technology, and welding at the Caldwell Regional Career Center

  • Strengthen career readiness in career and technical education pathways in biomedical, computer science, agriculture, business/marketing, and family and consumer studies

  • Assist with tuition and textbook cost for our Senior Academy, a partnership with Madisonville Community College

  • Provide scholarship opportunities to colleges, universities, and trade schools

  • Further opportunities for OSHA certification at the Caldwell Regional Career Center and EMT certification through the Health Science Department at Madisonville Community College

Like yourselves, our students today have unique interests, needs, talents, and backgrounds. We know that taking on the mammoth task of getting a foundation off the ground will be challenging, but also we know that great things happen when our Rocket community comes together for the betterment of our students. That’s where we need your help. We are challenging you, yesterday’s high school and today’s community leaders, to be a part of the initial group to launch our dream of a Rocket Foundation. We also encourage you to see if your workplace considers company matches.
