Homecoming Week Update

Posted Date: 09/25/25 (04:22 PM)

Hello High School Families! We are having to alter our Homecoming Week festivities a bit. I'm attaching updated graphics to this message, but here are the main changes:

  • A shortage of refs for the game (originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3) has caused us to play the homecoming game on Thursday, Oct. 2. Homecoming festivities will take place at 6:30 p.m. on the field, with kickoff at 7 pm.
  • The parade will now be on Wednesday. We would rather have it on Monday or Tuesday in order to respectfully avoid any scheduling conflicts with church services, but we have our girls volleyball team playing on Monday evening at home and our girls soccer team playing at Paducah on Tuesday. We want all students to have the opportunity to participate, so that didn't leave us much of a choice. However, the parade should last an est. 30 minutes, so hopefully with a 4 pm lineup and 5 p.m. start, all who have church services to attend can still make it!
  • The banana split eating contest will still take place on Monday at 5:30 outside of Rocket Arena at the top.
  • The girls' Powderpuff game will be moved to Friday at 6 p.m., at Rocket Stadium. Freshmen play Seniors first, followed by Sophomores v. Juniors, and Winner v. Winner
  • The homecoming dance for HS students will be on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8-11 in the MPR.
Thanks, everyone, for your flexibility and understanding and for coming together to support our football team and our high school students during this favorite time of year!
